Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my initial visit?

Your initial consultation will last approximately one hour. During this time, we will evaluate your case and determine what we believe to be your best course of action.

How much will this cost me?

Our initial consultations cost $175.00. After your initial consultation, our fees will vary depending on your particular case. Usually, we bill on an hourly basis, working from a retainer. There are no contingent fees in family law. As no case is the same, we are unable to predict the exact total cost of your case.

I already have an attorney, but I am not happy with that attorney. Can I still schedule an appointment for a consultation?

Yes. Many of our cases involve clients who have been previously represented by another attorney.

I live in another state. Can you represent me?

If your legal issue is related to Pennsylvania, for example you live in New York but your children live here, and Pennsylvania is in charge of the custody, we can represent you. We can do initial consultations over the phone. You may have to travel here for certain court proceedings.

Where are you licensed to practice law?

All of our attorneys are licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. While our firm is located in Allegheny County, we also handle cases in Washington, Westmoreland and Butler counties.
